Terrie Tai was born in China. Terrie played the harp at a young age and studied vocal and performing arts at Northwestern drama school.
When she lived in Hong Kong she became a voice actress for the Gar Bo Films.
Since then She moved to the UK, she has more opportunities to learn music and to participate in the performance.
Terrie has attended the Chinese congregation at St Martin - in - the - Fields church, where she developed groups as the Youth Choir and the Youth Chamber Ensemble.
As a chorus singer, Terrie has been involved in a number of opera performances including “Machbeth”, “Dido and Aeneas”, “La Traviata”, “Die Lustige Witwe”.
As well she also involved in many concerts at the somg famous concert hall as Royal Albert Hall, St John Smith Square, include: Handel's "Messiah", Mahler's “Symphony No. 2 Resurrection", Beethoven's “Symphony No. 9” etc..
Terrie with Gloria - a violinist, founded the TG PERFORMING ARTS COMPANY in 2006, and she began to producted some plays for the professional and amateur performers. She has adapted and directed “A Midsummer Night's Dream” from Shakespeare's original script. Again, she written and directed another musical “Living the Dream’”in 2014.
As a playwright, director, musical arranger, choreography, and also she is a teacher.
Terrie founded the BRITISH & CHINESE MUSICIANS'S SOCIETY with some the world's top musicians at 2010. And with them to committed to the popularization of classical music, and regularly held a number of concerts, lectures and other events.
In 2012, Terrie has invited to the concert “East Meets West”, held Royal Albert Hall 2012, to teach Chinese songs to the Royal Choral Society Choir. Which is perform with The famous musicians as Song Zuying, Lang Lang and Andrea Bocelli.
The same year she has invited at Chinese Three Tenors concert in London, doing coordination work with the Royal Philharmonic orchestra.
In 2012, Terrie has been invited as a guest, in Phoenix TV talk programme “London Afternoon Tea”
Terrie has been invited as an Artistic Director to lead some performances, including ：2013 CHINESE NEW YEARS CONCERT, THE CELEBRATE NATIONAL DAI CONCERT 2013 and so on.
2012 and 2013, for two consecutive years, Terrie has been invited as a judge for Phoenix TV Europe Singing Competition.
In 2013 Terrie was lecture to Guangzhou Angel Orchestra , and She received the invitation, will again lecture on 2015 with the Angels Orchestra.
In recent years, Terrie has pursued a career as a author and columnist. Her columns published on some Chinese newspapers. She has been interviewed some the world's top musicians, such as Julian Lloyd Webber, Lang Lang, Hu Kun and John Hudson.
Terrie has written two novels, those are some wacky stories. The "Cantata of the Night" was serialized in the UK times(英中時報), and another "Gemini" will coming soon
